The Torque is back for 2009
This year we have refined the Torque in a number of different areas.
We have improved jumping ability for big airs, sped up the turning speed, reduced the number of struts to 5 which has reduced the overall weight of the Torque and increased the construction and basic features.
The Torque still retains the light wind and up wind abilities of the but in the process of making it turn faster and making it lighter we have also improved the jumping ability. So the Torque is a real BIG AIR kite that you can get some of the longest hang time from kites at the moment.
(THE TORQUE IS NOT A BEGINNERS KITE)
Due to the shape of the Torque it is also suitable for speed kiting and kite racing.
The Torque is only ridden on a 1:1 bar and has no pulleys on the front bridle giving a more direct feel through the bar then previous models.
In Light wind conditions there is a huge difference between the Torque and other kites. When others are swooping their kites try to stay up wind you will be already able to lock the Torque into place and do tricks. A lot of the time you will be out on the water using the 13m or 15m Torque while everyone else sits on the beach waiting for the wind to come up. So the amount of time on the water is increased dramatically.
